This is a copy of certification of the corporation & official oath of trustees of Vancouver Transportation Company. It was filed January 31, 1874. John G. Toner and James T. Gray were from Washington Territory. The other officer, J.C. Kingsley, was from Oregon. They formed a company in Washington Territory called the Vancouver Transportation Company. The corporation was formed to navigate, especially by steamship, the Pacific Ocean, Columbia River and its tributaries.
